Growing Variegated Plants at Biobotanic Abode
Variegation is beautifully unpredictable, which is half the fun. From marbled leaves and splashes of colour to plants that seem determined to make every new leaf completely different from the last, no two variegated plants grow quite the same way.
Our collection includes variegated Monsteras, Philodendrons, Anthuriums and other unusual indoor plants grown and acclimatised here in our Queensland greenhouse. We grow our plants through different stages and watch how their variegation develops over time before they make their way into the shop.
Variegation can change as a plant grows, and the balance of colour will naturally vary between individual plants and new leaves. That's part of what makes growing them interesting, particularly when the next leaf decides to ignore all reasonable expectations.
