Growing Calatheas at Biobotanic Abode

Calatheas earn their place indoors with foliage that does most of the talking. Stripes, spots, deep greens, silvery patterns and flashes of colour make this a wonderfully varied group, with each variety bringing something a little different.

We grow and acclimatise our Calatheas here in our Queensland greenhouse, from familiar favourites to more unusual varieties. They generally appreciate consistent moisture, warmth and protection from harsh direct light, although individual varieties can have their own preferences.
